Protecting Intellectual Property with a Verifiable Priority Date

Design files, research notes, source code, and prototypes change constantly. Trusted timestamps help establish when a specific version existed before a dispute arises.

Establishing priority without disclosing the work

An organisation can calculate a cryptographic hash of a file or repository snapshot and submit only that hash for timestamping. The authority does not need to see the invention, source code, or confidential design. Later, the organisation presents the original file and verifies that its hash matches the timestamp token.

Make the evidence usable in a dispute

Timestamp the important versions, retain the token and certificate information, and document who controlled the evidence repository. For collaborative projects, timestamp contribution bundles and signed approvals as well as final releases. This does not replace an IP registration or legal advice, but it gives counsel a precise, independently verifiable record of the work's history.
